The player is right. There's no reason to charge your players for soda, snacks, and the like. It's pocket change, but it sends the wrong signal.

I've been an executive at three tech firms and I now run my own company. I've have ALWAYS keep a fridge and a snack cabinet stocked with drinks and snacks completely free of charge to my employees and any contractors working on-site. Even in this day and age of remote work, I still keep a modest selection of food and drink in the office.

The company makes about $1.2 million EBITDA annually; the food and drink costs about $3, 000 annually. That's a VANISHINGLY small cost for big returns.

Take care of your people, people.

Jonah Hill is so good in the movie. Hell, he's good in every movie.

The point of the scene to me is the low key adversarial relationship between players and GM. Disassociating from his own team, nickel and diming his own product. They are cattle. Pete has no answer to Justice’s valid question. Why would they fully commit? Bean gestures back by adding soda on to a trade later. Justice shows leadership, what he promised to Bean earlier.

Mental Game is so important. So many athletes looking for something to complain about instead of focusing on what they are trying to accomplish.

Really that would be on the owner, not Billy.

And professional athletes shouldn't be drinking soda anyway.

CoD is a game that's no risk, all reward. You don't lose your guns, skins, characters, gear, XP on death, you even respawn immediately. You lose nothing, only gain. And somehow, Philip finds a way to cry about this game.
