Founded in 1767, Ripton made waves back in the mid-1980s when they requested some additional funds from the state budget. What a story!! Sad, that lawmakers are so out of touch. The Huntington section of Shelton, CT where I live, was a part of Stratford called Ripton. We still have a Ripton Road.
