Just upgraded from 7 to 8.1, and even more been using Linux for the past year and a half. I built a new rig and went ahead upgrade it the newest Windows. I have to say i am very surprised how much i like the new Windows. Love it

I'm new to Windows 8 and this helped me very much. Going to update to 8.1 immediately! Love the way by using the same wallpaper on both screens so that the tiles appear to be on top!

Thanks for pointing out what I've being trying to get people to realize about windows 8. Its so much better than any previous version of any OS... even with a mouse and keyboard. The changes are just improvements on old methodology and people have become comfortable in their cages.

This is very nice, and its one of the main reasons I am in love with windows 8.1. Windows 7 has always been very accommodating but after messing with 8.1 you realize how boring windows 7 is all by itself. 8.1 gives me that much more, you just have to know your way around it.

Very useful. Alan. I especially like the tip to match the background images. I am not fond of the jarring experience of switching from start screen to desktop. Much less jarring when they match!

Thanks, Alan. I just got my new 8.1 laptop and have watched a ton of tutorials, and yours was the most upbeat. It gives me hope. One question, though. I love the Snoopy tile and added it, however I don't have the option to make the tile large. The only size options I have are small and medium. What gives?
