That small washer is actually supposed to go on the other side of the larger washer according to the instructions from ECS

Seeing the old Sprint Can logo at 8:28 smacked me in the face with some unexpected nostalgia wow

Love the attention to instruction, I just laughed the whole time you were going at the bolt through the mounts, I'll be taking care of that while it's still on the car XD

did you really manage to get that in with a 2by4

How did you press the top mount in? you didn’t show that.

I assume you ended up going to a garage to get that mount in place right?

this worn mount can make a noise when starting the ca, right? for me, one injector failed causing the engine to run unbalanced so it might have broken this mount

How many videos does anyone think have the “Smoke” alarm chirping in the background?
Guess that’s the parent’s problem to fix 🤣

A few of the bolts on the subframe are stretch bolts, so you might wanna replace those soon

Why did you jump cut while you were trying to get the new bushing pressed in? I've been trying to do mine all day and can't get it in the way you said to, seems funny to me that you didn't actually show it on video

thanks for this! very informative and love that you made do with what ya had cause that’s exactly what i do :-)

Small washer goes on the inside of the bushing then the big washer over it. Its purpose is to keep the new bushing and bolt centered properly. Tightening that small washer to 74nm per oe spec destroys its integrity and this not usable.

When dropping the subframe do you have to support anything while this subframe is out?

Great video dude! i think im having the same issue on my mk6. My bottom bolt actually fell out while driving, I replaced the bottom insert bolt.. but the same noise. Im going to check to see if there is play with the bolt tomorrow.

I have Golf mk6 and when i deceleration something clunk. Do you think this is from dogebone mount, or from left engine mount? Thanks.

Hey Carter, did you have to support the engine in any way? Also, did you have any problems with the installation of the subframe with weight on the wheels? You cut that entire part out of your video.

I had my Audi a3up on the ramps if I take that sub frame down are the wheel going to part is the car going to come down on top of me

I believe you have installed the small washer on the wrong side. It should go underneath the large washer for the dogbone insert
