“You’re getting yourself into trouble” She fails to realize that Kenya doesn’t need nor care about their approval.

she was shocked when he told her that the people decide what laws should exist, not the political elite.

Telling a president of a sovereign nation “I think you gonna get yourself into trouble”, the audacity, the audacity….

His response in just few words

"We are not stupid like the west, who cannot even identify themselves"

The audacity of this woman to say "this will get you into trouble". Its of no relevance to anyone, these matters should be kept private. Props to this president!

I also love how CNN posted this, trying to blast the dude, but the comment section just agrees with him.

I love how African leaders are more honest & calmer to come out about their opinions than the Western leaders. Makes me proud to be an African.

I respect him. The President gave a good answer. It's irrelevant if the interviewer agrees or disagrees.

CNN has done more damage to themselves than to Kenya's president with this interview

The country is suffering from Poverty/lack of education and jobs, hunger and they start bringing up gay rights to criticize the country instead of helping the majority...its really pathetic. As their president said, it isn't an issue for now, but one after the more critical issues are addressed and solved

If you want your country to be prosperous, the position of the Kenyan president is the right one to take.
