I've always wondered how influencers handle their job. I deleted all social media (except YouTube if that counts) on Christmas last year, and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I didn't even have a job on social media, and it was taking over my life. I think that this is such a healthy choice, and if you find a path outside of social media altogether, I think that that'd be even better. It must feel so exciting to drop this weight from your shoulders.

I don't mean any hate but I just don't understand how youtubers always feel this way having no time but if you had a regular job like I work 7:30-16:00 you would also be away from family for so many hours a day and still have to go to work and be a wife/mom/dad. But I guess if they have the liberty financially to stop working then they can go for it I would love to one day be able to stop working but our home depends on it for the time being.

I agree with so many points you made and it really resonated with me. At the height of my channel, I also had no social life, barely saw family, and had no time for anything other than YouTube.

When I got pregnant with my first, it changed everything. I didn’t want him to be restricted by my lack of relationships. I didn’t want him to have to be holed up inside all the time because I was busy building a platform. I spent my whole pregnancy rebuilding my social life and relationships, and it has been invaluable during my first year as a mum.

It’s certainly a sacrifice, and it’s hard to feel like you’re letting down your audience, but it’s been so wonderful to fully be present with my baby this year.
