I'm already subbed, bell clicked so I want to see you on your journey. I have never been to Georgia my ex-husband lived and died there. Good luck to you on your adventure. Remember that many men have died in the search of gold. All the Best ~ Shirl

I have been looking for years chasing this trail. I have also been chasing a legend of Cherokee Native American gold as well. Many hrs walking miles. I have found all kinds of artifacts including cannon balls, bayonets, bullets, buttons, and sword scarb tips. I live in North East Georgia in Helen. Oh and it is here in Georgia! This is the heart of the south.

Hey man I know where one of the confederate gold treasures you’re talking about was found. A farmer from Sugar Town, Louisiana went out to bush hog his pasture supposedly when he ran over the box of gold. I can’t find information anywhere on the internet about it but I grew up close to that area and the pasture it was found in lies about a mile from a confederate cemetery.

I believe its buried between Danburg, Ga. and Washington, Ga. in several different areas in that area.

Sounds like a fun adventure whether you find anything or not. Wish I could come. I agree that its probably still in ga.

Man that stuff is buried deep in the swamps somewhere... NO DOUBT
Easy to bury, nobody builds in the swamps, etc.
Probably the Okefenokee swamps

If a train was accessable, and close by, wouldn't anyone take the train?

so do you know for a fact that there wasn't a train going north that night? exactly 3 years to the day earlier a minor event happened that would have given some men insight on how a town is laid out, made a few ppl mad I'm sure. just a random thought. cuz I haven't read any of those papers ur holding up

Go w/ ur gut bro
Didnt want draw attention & gold is heavy so stay to main trail. Old dug well or sinkholes or privy make digging easier for quick stash.
