Biggest mistake is calling the FBI or any government agency to come dig up your treasure if you find it you keep it yourself and you don't tell anyone, that guy in the show was definitely an agent for evil

He was trying to do the right thing and he got screwed in the end. That should tell you something you find gold dig it up yourself don't tell anyone..

If FBI retrieved gold bars they should allow that man to have at least one gold bar or a value in money for a gold bar. They should reward him.

I live in Canada, but if I ever found a lost treasure, I wouldn't say a word about it. By rights, if I found it, it's mine and anyone else's directly involved with me.

I don't trust the government, this being one of the reasons why.

remeber any lost treasure that is found can be kept unless the owner of said treasure is found and can prove ownership and since the U.S. Government has no record of ownership of said gold he should have dug it up and kept it for himself under the " Finders Keepers Law "

NEVER tell anyone you found treasure. I thought this was common knowledge. The US Government has ZERO claim to this gold if there are no records of them possessing it in the first place. Trying to do the right thing in these situations is ignorant.
