Oslo failed because Israel continued to build settlements in the West Bank. They and the US never wanted to give up the West Bank. The proof of this is that the US always vetoed UN resolutions calling for a Palestinian state according to 1967 borders.

The similarity between what Germany did to the Jewish people and what Israel is doing to the Palestinians is striking. The only difference between the two is the methods used. In Gaza mass numbers of innocent people are being killed, maimed, and starved. .Israel's claim of attacking Hamas was a sham from the start to cover up Israel's real intent There is no other explanation for the combination of these facts (1) Israel has no plan that includes Palestinians after the war, (2) there is no effort to win over the civilian population, (3) the targeted killing of many Palestinians, such as journalists, academics, doctors, nurses etc., and (4) the destruction in Gaza making it uninhabitable.

In March 2019, Netanyahu told his Likud colleagues: “Anyone who wants to thwart the establishment of a Palestinian state has to support bolstering Hamas and transferring money to Hamas … This is part of our strategy – to isolate the Palestinians in Gaza from the Palestinians in the West Bank.” This is only my theory, but given the several "intelligence failures" that could have thwarted the October 7th attacks, I think it is not entirely implausible that Israel intentionally allowed it to happen to have an excuse to wipe out Palestinians, drive any few remaining out and finally claim Gaza and the West Bank as their own in their far-right nationalist vision.

The problem the West have & have always had is their inability to understand the locals in different regions & underestimate the suffering & desire of the people but with this conflict, they refuse to accept that Hamas or Palestinians could act against an oppressed state without Iran pushing them & also their inability to accept this is a fight of people who have been oppressed, murdered & humiliated for decades but instead they try to frame it like it's Iran or antisemitism or Hamas is just evil without really talking about the real root of the entire conflict that started decades even before Hamas existed
Hamas is the monster Isreal Made, the result of decades of oppression & with their bombing of Gaza now, they are already creating new ones for the future
