TikTok hack tested. I see this hack to cover scratches on wood all the time on TikTok. So when I found a large scratch on my kitchen table, I was all to excited to test this out. The only way to get out DEEP scratches is with a sander. Period. All other methods have varied results as a cover/concealer. Use an iron for light to medium to raise the wood, but be CAREFUL.

The walnut trick does work on not so deep scratches.

Thanks for sharing, i repair my floor scratches from dog with cotton bud and varnish . Then clean excess off a razor blade then use autoglym car polish the next day

This is a bad idea. It changed the color of the reenginered timber and it was standing out from the rest. Its like oil absorbed in the timber. Best is to contact the professionals rather then make a small scratch bad. I contacted timber doctor who fixed it.
