It's always been Sandisk for me, and I've always wondered why. After a quick search, I found this about Scandisk:


ScanDisk is a DOS utility application used to check and correct errors on hard and floppy disks. It was first shipped in DOS 6.2 and was included with Windows 95, 98 and ME. The utility scans disk surfaces for defects and marks those sections to prevent the rewriting of data and data loss.

I was baffled at falling into my first mandela effect! And it was precisely last week win ScanDisk which is now SunDisk! Umbelievable. I never bought a 'SUNDISK'. It was always a Scandisk to me!

It has always been SanDisk for me. I worked at RadioShack from 2004 to 2006 and it drove me crazy when like 90% of the customer's came in and asked for the "SCANdisk" flash drives and the "SCANdisk" SD cards.

IT WAS SCANDISC, I ordered a Scandisc SD-card from Amazon and after opened up the package I was shocked I read SANDISC I immediately thought I bought a Chinese copy with a copycat name SANDISC, then I searched and its everywhere SANDISC . WTF ???

Always "Sandisk" for me; I've used a number of them (flash drives as well as memory cards) over the years. Currently I'm using a 16GB as well as two 32GB Sandisk drives.

Amazing how the computer recognised it as scandisk. How can that be explained honestly?

Just got this one today, was in Walmart..looked at the shelf full of them..It was like the name changed before my eyes. Strangest thing. The employee who stated that he had worked in electronics for years stated that he always remembered it being "San Disk". Weird.

Always bought Scan disk micro sd cards from local co-op, one day it was san and though they changed the name, same stand, colours, everything, then I saw the Mandela effect.

It was definitely scandisk. Wow, and I use these constantly as a photographer for decades...then again, I seem to be Mandela effected every single time... Funny when nearly all the photographers were raving about how great it is switching from film to digital photography back in the day, something inside me said, "This is gonna be really bad..."

Right, wtf is going on. I swear I was happily searching for ScanDisk micro SD cards on Amazon/google... I bought an extreme 128Gb on Amazon then kept looking about and after a few clicks they're all called SanDisk. But loads of reviews and posts calling them ScanDisk... thats how i ended up here....

Been using Scandisk (i thought) for years. Even popped the one in my phone out to check and right enough, it says SanDisk.... I feel a little crazy.... and yes, i have used scandisk in msdos and always wondered why they used the same name.

This one bugs me, I clearly remember it as scandisk and I don't remember the strange D in the Logo. My husband insists it was always been sandisk. However he never seems to have any Mandela effects. I told him I must be from another timeline. LOL I always joke with him because he use to be a avid guitar player his whole life and now for the last 5 years he only plays drums which he never played and we have been married for over 30 years. I always ask him to play guitar but he never wants to.

ScanDisk for me... never heard of "SanDisk" untill I watched your video. Very strange.
