I realise that CF has shown this film before, but it IS a bona-fide "creature feature!" I'm keeping my fingers crossed in the hope that CF will be able to show some Hammer horrors. The 1967 remake of, "Quatermass and The Pit" (aka "Five Million Years to Earth") would be fantastic.

I love Slim Whitman! Monster of Piedras Blancas, I'm just a bird in the sky! What? Oh. Nevermind. Seriously, though, this may be the closest we get to the Gillman for a while, and really a nice flick with good makeup. Don't miss it, friends and neighbors!

I had forgotten about this movie, with the eponymous Jeanne Laverne Carmen (staring) as the self-styled Queen of the B Movies. This movie is the epitome of entertainingly bad 50's sci-fi/horror and checks every box as far as cliches go, and I would expect from a movie of this shoestring budget ilk and era, yet it is still park-your-brain fun to watch. I personally found this movie hilarious when I first watched it on a VHS cassette back in the late 1970s and I still do. It is said that some bad movies are naturally funny but also have a charm of their own, Monster of Piedras Blancas does not disappoint on all accounts.

Failing means yer playin’ as we say in Scotland.

I remember seeing this movie on a local Television station that had its own Creature Features show on Saturday afternoons we didn't have cable TV but these movies were fun to watch as a kid about 6 or 7 years old

Amazing. Constable Matson gets clawed in the gut by the monster, bleeding and in severe pain. He drives to the lighthouse and when he arrives he's not only pain free but he's stopped bleeding and his shirtis clean and mended. WOW!
