I want to get one from the ocean called the aurelia aurita (moon jellyfish)

Can someone help me identify a jellyfish? I was swimming in North Carolina waters when I got stung 3 times, my friend got stung 3 times, my sister got stung once, and my sisters friend was also stung once. It was red at the top with some white, about the size of a moon jelly, and it had long tentacles that were translucent. I’ll describe the stings below.
(We were all boogie boarding in shallow water, furthest we went was maybe 4 feet, but I do not believe anyone got stung that deep.)

Me:
Sting 1: Skimmed my knee. Got a slight rash, some bumps, and burning pain until it was relieved with hot water.
Sting 2: It wrapped around my calves until the waves pushed it off, I had trouble getting to shore and had a rash, couldn’t walk, and was covered in bumps. I was in pain for a long time.
Sting 3: Skimmed my ankle. Same side effects of sting 1.

My Friend:
Sting 1: Stung her right calve, left lots of bumps and a bit of a rash.
Sting 2: Wrapped around her entire legs when entering the ocean to clean sand off. Nearly broke into tears but the adults in charge of us that day did not believe that she got stung.
Sting 3: Very mild sting on her thigh.

Sister:
Sting 1: Wrapped around her right ankle and left her screaming in pain. She was unable to walk for a few hours. She had a big rash climbing up her leg.

Sister’s Friend:
Sting 1: Tentacles wrapped around her neck, leaving her with a hideous and severe rash that spread on her face and upper body. She was swollen in the face and neck area for multiple days.
