The 2022 BMW M440i Convertible Is The Quintessential 4-Seater Droptop Bimmer

The #BMW4Series was completely redesigned for 2020 and with a new coupe, we knew a convertible was right around the corner. The 2022 #M440iConvertible we tested for a week stickered for over $75,000. The #4seriesconvertible goes back to a soft top this year and the #M440i comes standard with RWD and a turbocharged 382 HP I-6 engine.

I’ve already warmed up to the grille! I actually love it way more than I thought initially. I like how BMW is going towards having multiple shapes and sized grilles that are all still undeniably BMW for Audi all of their grilles are all the same on all the cars.

I liked the grille since I first saw it (In the shadowline). It looks mean!I ordered my Black M440i x in June, and I'm happy to say production started friday😊I have been driving a 5 series for 9 years, I am excited to drive a coupe!

Supposedly there is a hard panel inside the soft top which is why it feels like a hard top and why it's so quiet. Also that gray divider comes out in the trunk to expand storage as long as the top is up.

BMW needs this grill nowadays otherwise it would not stand out but look rather average. I love it! It gives it an edge and makes it looks equally as stylish as a merc.

Just for future reference for BMW's, after it says launch control active, hold it a bit longer because it builds boost if you hold it for a second or 2 after it says it is active

Two things. One, I have a 2012 Mercedes E350 convertible. I suspect that the panel that leaves a little space at the floor of the trunk can be moved out of the way to make more room in the trunk — at the expense of being unable to drop the top. That’s how the MB’s trunk works. Also, it is amazing how quiet these convertibles can be at highway speeds with the top up. The lack of noise in the E350 is as remarkable as the BMW’s.
