Will The Taliban Cause the Worlds First Water War?

Показать описание
The water wars have no end in sight. Water disputes between Iran and Afghanistan date back to as early as the 1870s. However, with the Taliban back in power in Kabul since 2021, the Helmand River has become an increasing topic of contention between the neighboring countries, particularly in recent months.

Problem with the USSR and the Aral Sea was the unlined canals because they just wanted them built fast to meet communist industrialization goals

It’s crazy to me that most of the stuff being discussed in this video happened within my lifetime. Some of which I actually remember myself.

You know it’s bad when IRAN is saying you’re being unreasonable and oppressive.

I drove around Kyrgyzstan back in 2021 as Afghanistan was falling. I talked to locals about the country and multiple people from Bishkek to Osh talked about how proud they are of there water and how important water is for there country. And it was terrifying when i drove by water reservoir and see how low there were.

When Iran is telling you, "you're not inclusive enough, " you're fucking up.

Yeah a drug video would be interesting. I heard the Taliban are focused on meth now. More lucrative with less water/land use, and easier centralizing.

I want to know if that is true.

"Nobody wants to work with them". Except Norway. We flew several high-ranking members of the Taliban, on a privat jet to Oslo. They got a week's stay, all expenses paid, the best hotels, round the clock security, and of course complete secrecy. The reason for all this extravaganz? Norway wanted to convince the Taliban to allow girls back into school. The Taliban leaders said, and I quote: "It was a very productive stay, we got to see a lot of the capitol. But, on the theme of girls in school, we already allow girls to go to school. So on this, we agree. 😁"

It cost the Norwegian taxpayer 400 000 Euros for the privat jet ALONE. No government official has ever stated how much they spent on these savage autocrats.

Building an economy on agriculture in a desert is not a great idea - not in the USSR, not in California and not in Peru. Thanks for the information.

Is there a betting pool somewhere for these? Iran v Afghanistan. India et al. v China. Egypt v Ethiopia. Kazakhstan v Uzbekistan v Turkmenistan. Something something Sudan. Or the darkhorse, Utah v Arizona!

This is coming from a recovering heroin addict, I think it would be fascinating for you to go in depth on the role Taliban has played in the drug trade.
I always thought it was ironic that the Taliban was able to sow death and destruction American homeland with opiates as opposed to conventional military strikes.

We don't have a recorded history of it, but I would guarantee there have been water wars
