Geez they didnt have the sizes when i was issued my stuff. My hat was 2 sizes too small, my jacket was a medium instead of a large. The people that issued me the stuff were other Airmen too, all they said was "we're out of that size deal with it"

I did that back in the 60's near an old supply building prior to standing in civilian clothes all night ouside at Lackland AF Base. The temp was in the 40's and finally they got some very unhappy airmen to open supply up and throw clothing at us. YT would take down any further comment I would make.

Army CIF, tried to return the marshmallow suit jacket that was still in the original sealed bag. Initially told it couldn’t be accepted because it hadn’t been cleaned. My military bearing disappeared quickly

And then what they don’t tell you is that out of your clothing allowance you pay for everything, and if it doesn’t fit or something wrong with it tough shit! Take it your holding up the line and sign here that we gave it you! Then they run you out of their because they have more recruits
My first issue of boots was 1/2 size to small, I had to buy another issue the first chance I got paid! 🤬 holes!
