David - the modulation is QAM - which uses both amplitude and phase (time) - so, it's not just amplitude. Love your channel!!

Wow!!! My ex husband could understand this all day long..
He passed away a few years ago.
But he used to get into my phone before we had smart phones.
But he had my phone ringing on his phone. He could answer my phone calls.. It use 2 piss me off. He was an auto mechanic at a car dealership.. So lord only knows what he could do to my car these days.. I’m just saying he would love this kinda stuff.
I do miss him when I need my car fixed. But he was a pain in the behind always messing with my phone…

To combat theft Android 15 has anti snatch detection. That locks the phone if it gets grabbed. New reset processes are also making phones more difficult to resell when they're stolen. Hopefully it will make phone theft much less profitable and therfore less common.

A Starbucks employee was laughing about 3 people that sit in their parking lot everyday catching peoples information as they go through the drive-through. That Starbucks is right next to our State Capital. So, I can’t imagine what kind of information they’re getting.

This is why I like old cars. Cheaper by far, made of metal nor plastic, parts are cheaper and easy to fix cuz don't have a gazillion sensors f'n everything up. Got 1 issue not 10 possibilities. Your car doesn't transmit location, phone, Bluetooth, record all audio and video when car is on. Don't gotta wipe a drive before you sell it so next person doesn't see where you live, work, go to school, who your contacts are, phone numbers, messages, what you look like, sound like, etc etc. Get an aftermarket deck. Something with CD player, USB port and a 3.5m port for audio. Phone have headphone jack, walla, plug it in and bam, music, phone calls, whatever. Don't need a 20in f'n touch screen display crap. No wifi. No gps. No Bluetooth. No snooping

I use an ESP32 running BLE detection for my home automation to detect our cell phones and BLE beacons in our vehicles.

I wish the default was for devices to be non-discoverable, but I could understand why it isn't that way. I always keep any sharing features turned off. I'll turn them on if I need them.

Small point, BT5.2 has been deployed for some time now. And Apple devices may have BTLE enabled all the time, even if the device is totally powered down.
BT can have a range of 100 meters, but consumer goods are normally at the lowest power class, 10 meters very optimistically range.
