I am a septuagenarian and not very tech savvy, I've purchased two of these devices trond and another brand and have been unable get them to work. After watching numerous videos with no success, I stumbled yours. You spoke in a manor that I was able to understand and follow. I now have two devices that work perfectly. Thank You very much!!!

Sweet video...wasn't looking for this actually but watched anyway. Gotta say the "troubleshooting" suggestions you offer is something folks rarely do. It is a wonderful kindness and lends credibility and polish to this video. You are awesome and very thoughtful for folks who aren't used to computer or bluetooth or monitor (tv) stuff...I'm the exact opposite...but still, I could have my grandmother follow these instructions - no problemo!! Awesome stuff!!

Thank you for making this unequivocally clear. Everywhere I sought understanding, I found ambiguity. Thank you, for the clarity.

This saved me from taking mine back to the shop. Different make but same principle. Thank-you so much! Just what I needed for noisey neighbours. Xx

If you have no audio when the device is plugged in, rather than keep unplugging it and making the connection weak, you should be able to enable/disable the speaker link, via the settings on your TV, that way you can leave it plugged in. Hope this is useful. :)

Thanks for the heads up and things to avoid. I am sitting here watching this and you make it look so simple. now I need to find that little plugin in the back of the TV.

helpful ... thank you so much for this information. I have been researching wireless headsets for my TV, and I was being led to purchase expensive name brand items because they were DESIGNED for TV. All I need is audio at night without disturbing anyone, ... nothing fancy. Now, I know how to begin my search ... I just start with a Bluetooth adapter.

Before you order one of these go look at the front and back of your TV to see if you can find a headphone jack. 99% of flat panel TV's like Samsung do not have one. As a matter of fact you'll most likely find only one Output Audio jack and it'll be an Optical cable. You'll need a digital to analog converter and get one that has a volume control on it. Then you can plug the Bluetooth transmitter (in the video) into the Digital to analog converter and transmit Bluetooth sound to Bluetooth headphones. The converter and the Bluetooth transmitter should be around $20 each. They make $45 units that could withstand the test of time and are well made. You get what you pay for kinda thing. Good luck!

Great tutorial. You speak in layman's terms so we can understand. Also love the "heads up" warnings.

Hey Kristin -thanks for taking the time and effort to product this excellent, easy to follow and understand, video tutorial on using wireless headphones with a TV without builtin bluetooth. Really appreciate your extra step in cautioning on what not to do.

Thanks. Yet to buy but was wondering how they'll be connected when both (headphones & transmitter) have no screen display to see or something like that. Happy to have got the info I needed.

Thanks for this. And yes, we really appreciate the "things not to do" section

I presume the aux output could be the headphone output on many appliances.
If that’s the case then you’ve solved a huge problem for me.
Thanks.

I'm trying to get mine to do the same thing as yours, but mine won't connect to my earbuds. How did you get yours to connect. I Charged them both, but no matter how many times I push the buttons on the adapter and the earbudes they won't connect. How advanced are your headphones? Cause I'm thinking it's cause my Bluetooth earbuds are too cheap? Like what brand did you buy?

Your video helped and thanks. I didn't think I have to charge. I have it plugged in outlet and TV AUX at the same time. I originally thought I just plug in and I am ready like if you were plugging in a regular Vacuum cleaner to use.
