With more than 40 years experience as a diplomat, US Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield has had a front-row seat to major global events. She says the world is as dangerous now as it was in the past, and that advances in technology and human knowledge don't always make for a safer result.

The Louisiana native explains her approach to having hard conversations, and describes how she once had a "friendly" conversation while at gunpoint. (Recorded April 12, 2024)

World is more dangerous because of the people like this. Her role in UN was disgusting during Palestine issue. She was the only one endorsed a genocide. How dare she is talking about the genocide in Rwanda while encouraging another one.

Amb. Greenfield is mistaken. I am 58, lived in a half dozen different languages, speak a half dozen foreign languages fluently (guess what i do for a living): the world is far far less dangerous than in the 1970s or 1980s.

We don't want more policy-makers who just talk talk and don't implement any solution! It is a joke to get a senior position at an international organization just because you faced one time a life treating moment, like what about the people that face these situations every week? Those are the ones not crying and talking to the press

Everything coming out of their mouth is FLUFF!

African and asian leaders are more straightforward and direct with their answers...
