WOW! I am so embarrassed... 2 months from being 6 yrs into the game, and I only just discovered Auras only apply to Base Stats. That explains a lot and has led to an immediate change of mindset towards team structure. Thanks for yet another great YT, Ash.

To be fair to new players there are hundreds of champions in the game who say they are "Defense" or "HP" but all their abilities scale off attack. Plarium needs to go through all the OG champs and correct this as there's a huge number of Rares in particular scaling off a different damage type to their classification. Daywalker is a good example, HP champ with no HP scaling abilities.

Nothing that you said in the video was new to me, but I wish this was out when I first started playing. This is probably the clearest, most well-explained video that I've seen for new players. Even after trying to absorb as much as I could when I first started playing Raid, it took a while to understand. Well done, Ash!

This video was perfect. So helpful. I'm trying so hard to understand gear and with each video that comes out *about* gear - I get that much closer to being able to understand and gear my units better. I loved the explanation about the unique stats of gloves, chest, and boot pieces - and same with the accessories. I'm starting to dabble in reworking artifacts .. and I have a ton of 5 star epic re-works so .. I feel like I need to focus on that a little bit more, in regards to fine-tuning pieces.

This was an amazing, timely video. I was just telling myself that I need more guidance on how to gear champs. Your breakdown was great, I took notes! I wanted to know how to gear each type of champ, like defense, HP, etc. Your key instruction to read the boss information and the champ information is helpful. The boss guide has really helped me with the specific tips they sometimes give at the end.
