Did you know that the person in charge of the clean air initiative act owns several coal plants so the man who is supposed to research and develop new ways for green energy and then figure out how to enforce it owns a coal mine i wonder if that would be a conflict of interest

Gosh, I really wish we could just have nuclear power.

Or do it like Germany when natrual gas was supposed to be surge power plants to fill in the gap for renewables. Then Russia invaded Ukraine and now we're back to buring coal..

Well on the positive we have 60% coming from renewables and by 2030 it's supposed to be 80% but so it's not all doom and gloom.

I've been at digester sites where they just. Open the valves and let pure decomposing pig gas out straight to atmosphere if the pressure gets too high. It's uh. Something.

Rollie you should do a colab with comedian Alice Snedden who does climate journalism for The Spinoff.

How does it make you feel knowing that no matter what anyone does in this country, it is impossible to offset the sheer volume of pollution and CO2 emissions coming from places in the east like China & India?

You can be a funny person and virtue signal all you want, but unless something is done there, nothing changes.

This is what being able to speak but not have a point sounds like!

So hears a real question. Is having the amount of natural gas plants we have worse than having the same of number of coal plants? Including everything it takes to make the that power, the total carbon foot print.

I also don’t care if about renewables in the context of this question. Clearly if we were doing nothing but building renewable or even nuclear we’d be better off. That’s not relevant to the question I’m asking.

I’m at work so I really don’t have time to watch this thing but and look into myself right now, but the premise seems to be that natural gas is now the leading polluter. Which I’m pretty sure given Climate towns past video about how there is no such thing as clean coal, isn’t the case.

Have regulations on natural gas changed that much over the years that that it’s now a dirtier form of energy than coal?

I’ve lived in Wayne County PA also where you can lite your tap water on fire in some places because of fracking, let’s not try and twist this into something that I’m a shill for natural gas.

I also don’t care what anyone else has to say other than Rori on this video.

Cheap, clean, reliable natural gas is awful!! We need more expensive, less reliable wind and solar.

Energy prices surge with renewables due to physics. A lot more $per KW of energy because natural gas and oil are so energy dense even considering burn to motion inefficiency

Im hesitant to comment and increase engagement for this shitty piece of propaganda, but I wish with all my heart that I was one of the “millions of families” who had lower costs this year (there are none)
