Indonesian people have same history like myanmar people, fighting for democracy in 1960s and 1998. When this tragedy happened again this time in Myanmar, the indonesian people can feel the pains and the struggle. Not everyone happy when the regime leader are welcomed with red carpet, security escort etc.

He should have arrested when he arrived at the meeting.

Just a talk shop. The generals had started their killing spree years ago when they annihilated thousands of Rohingyas. Now the heat is on the Burmese themselves.

Its just that is our country culture to greet a guest as luxurious as possible, regardless of who they were.
So yeah...
There is no hidden meaning behind that carpet just formality

Bruh, there is no outrage, the reason the meeting is held is to discuss the situation in myanmar

Love from India. I am humbled by how Indonesian peoples are supporting Myanmar. I feel ashamed by our government not opposing Myanmar's military coup only for sittway port.. and also our government is not welcoming refugees. Myanmar military is doing genocide in their country. hundreds of refugees came to India are telling stories about mass rapes, killing going in their country. I pray for Burmese People to regain their power over country.

If they didnt invite them, how would they tell those generals to stop. Not inviting them can be just counter productive and no one is saying that they are legitimizing anything. Sometimes the media is just a whole load of crap honestly.
