I hope this is an actual sequel worthy of the name. As much as i love the men of war series, from Soldiers heroes of ww2 to faces of war, to assault squad and gates of hell. They are all essentially very similar with the same issues that plague all of them. Its starting to become like call of duty where the same game is pumped out with a very slight graphics overhaul and if we're being honest, men of war 2 looks pretty similar graphically to the others too. The AI needs major improvement, especially squad ai. When your direct controlling a soldier their should be better ai for the supporting soldiers in the squad he is with or the option to give orders from within direct control. When assaulting positions with a squad of ai its way too often that your guys just run in a line 1 by 1 through the point and just get gunned down immediately. Options for trucks or tanks to follow other units or remain in formation when your direct controlling one. Buildings are a total mess and this long in the series its not really acceptable by now. Infantry garrisoning buildings is clumsy and clunky. Also options for traversing terrain while in direct control and out need to be added. Like climbing over fences, and scaling rocks, even ladders for squads to reach higher floors in bombed out buildings as well as utilizing the stairs properly. My biggest gripe however is when in 1st/3rd person direct control your infantry while crawling through grass will get rail gunned by enemy AI from absolute miles away, through dense foliage, trees etc. To the point you need to squint your eyes and look at the mini map and figure out where the hell they are shooting you from. Its completely immersion breaking, you cant see through the grass a meter or 2 in front of your face but someone 100m away is able to nail you perfectly and continue to do so. I would also like to see more/better terrain deformation. Ive noticed also the explosions have been significantly scaled back since soldiers heroes of ww2, you used to be able to stack up huge explosions by stacking vehicles with tnt etc, that was fun.

Queing up actions would be good. So for stealth (stealth sections need serious improvements too) being able to give orders to multiple different soldiers so that when you click the button they carry them out at the same time, such as 2 separate soldiers throwing a knife or grenade or firing their weapons at the same time, being able to eliminate multiple enemies at once, instead of clunky having to slow down time take direct control of 1, do the action then click onto another soldier and do the same. None of these fundamental issues have been dealt with since the very first game and while i still have fun with the MoW series of games i'm quite tired now of the same game being re-released with a slightly better paint job.

a w40k mod is already in preparation for it. i bet starwars, modern and vietnam will follow.
however, i hope melee will also be a thing or cavalry charge will look as clumsy as it was in mowas2.

Make this right. Faces of War, Soldiers: Heroes of WWII and Men of War are exceptional strategy games that i thoroughly enjoyed.

So will there be new game mechanics and better animations? The horses have always been janky and the guns itself as well. I hope to see new features but mostly wish to see the old weird glitches fixed like the soldiers not being able to actually stand on two story buildings or fortifications and just move up and down while phasing through the floor

In men of war two a cool feature could be added, the ability to hide squads of infantry behind tanks and other armor, where the would just stay in a line formation following behind the tank

They should do add good melee battle system. I'm think they also should add more melee weapons - I want see a soviet soldiers who attack German soldier with spades, and Japanese soldier who do a banzai attack using a katana, also will be cool if we see a useable bayonets for rifles

Не знаю какой у вас там язык основной, но надеюсь разрабы прочитают - Было бы круто, если бы вы улучшили систему ближнего боя, ведь ВМВ не только война автоматов и винтовок как никак, но и война где активно воевали с лопатами да штыками, ещё было бы классно увидеть возможность нацепить штыки на винтовки, эт так, пожелание. Всем добра и хорошего настроения
