For those who are interested, the reason it is actually plausible that eating chillis relieved this man's alcohol cravings, is because the brain responds to pain signals by releasing endorphins. That's why those accustomed to the heat find it pleasurable, and chilis themselves can be addictive for some people.

Beware though, the Carolina Reaper is so hot, very few have tried one raw without deeply regretting it moments later. 😂
