The reason Jake isn't at 100k is because ppl are looking for quick money tips and Jake is honest enough to teach us that this takes time. My 2 cents

Awesome man! I’m 18 and want to start dividend investing. I want to see the snowball effect throughout my life. Eventually I want to live off of dividends each month.

A portfolio that always gains is better than just Capital preservation. I've snowball invested in various newer options ETFs that pay weekly/4weekly/monthly and in one year was going to blow through several IRS income limitations enough that I started investing in some less paying regular growth stocks just to keep taxes lower and so I could still contribute to my Roth IRA. In future I will probably just make more money and pay all the higher taxes and still be ahead. (Retired)

Thanks Jake for preventing me from digging the bunker in my back yard to survive the zombies (Ha-ha). Great video.

I'm a hybrid investor or a barista. My retirement accounts are aggressive growth. My individual brokerage is in dividend growth, and my business account is in income funds.

The key factor I found in stock investing is buy 1, 000 shares. $1 of dividend per share would be $1, 000 of dividend per year. . . . also applies to stock gain, $1 gain in price is $1, 000 in profits. Catch a $20 stock that pays $1 dividend and stock price bounces $4 up and down over a year. That would be a gain of $5, 000 . . . a year. This drastically changed my stock performance, , , 100's shares of stock is just too low a quantity.

Hi I’m 19 and new to investing, I plan to max my Roth IRA with a 50/50 split of Voo and schd, and maybe open a brokerage account holding dgro and maybe vgt (might switch) is this a good strategy for now?

Hi Jake, I've been working on a dividend portfolio strategy and wanted to ask you about something. You mention freqently the Simple Path to Wealth strategy, but Jim speaks primarily about investing in low cost funds, while you are core + satellite. Can you help me understand when/why to add the satellites? Is it just to slightly bump total returns? Thanks!

I think investment is a long term peaceful progress. If you need to look at the number go up and down every hour. And constantly thinking changing to a different stock etf. And sometimes hope to find a stock can rise 20-30% in 3 days. Sure that is also investment. But I do not think that can last long.

Great video. I'm still in Wealth Accumulation phase, but starting to add in less volatile assets in preparation. I technically have 24 years remaining until retirement age however I'm in position to reduce that to 7-10 years. I'm still buying and holding strong mix of growth, but adding less volatile holdings as well. I've got a golden opportunity right now where my family's expeses will be extremely low for several years.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that volatility is your friend in your 20s, but rather it’s insignificant compared to consistent dollar cost averaging

How many stocks are too many for an investor to hold in a portfolio? 20, 30, 40?

Did DGRO hit an all time high this week? I see some growth.
