I've barely scratched the surface with Beckett, so I always appreciate chances to hear more about him.
It's always cool when a solo booktuber does a readalong. I look forward to hearing more about that.

"Only fiction for a year" sounds like a PUNISHMENT, not a project!

Happy new year, Lukáš! Love the projects and am excited to keep up with the channel this year :)

Only fiction for a year describes a lot of my reading years but I’m interested to see how you find it Lukas. Lots of great projects and events, I spaced on Shaketember last year but will try and do better for 2022.

Yay on 1900! Looking forward to your 2K.
Very surprised at your thoughts about reading only fiction. I hope you love it.
Macbeth is the first Shakespeare play I read and remains my favorite with The Tempest and Midsummer Night’s Dream sort of breathing down its neck.

Your plans for 2022 sound varied and interesting. You would rock a read-along of Waiting for Godot or another Samuel Beckett.

You're so close to 2k. That's so exciting!

Hey Mr S. Missing the film club chance to chat with you (I’m just rubbish at Voxer! 😄), so thought I’d say hi here and wish you all the best with your 2022 - reading and otherwise. All fiction, (almost) all the time - good luck pal! 🤓😉

Only fiction. That’s ambitious! I’m really looking forward to those results! 🤓

It’s so odd to me that people would feel that reading only fiction for a year would be insane. I have read nearly only fiction every year for many, many years now. Even back when I was reading 50+ books a year, there were likely never more than three or four works of non-fiction in my reading diet.

I may do another readalong this year. I really enjoy leading people through a text — between Cromwellathon and Oscar and Lucinda, I’ve had some wonderful experiences.

The Macbeth project sounds fun. I really love the play as well but have never watched any adaptations, so I might watch one or two as well. I typically read very little nonfiction (besides stuff for school) - but lately have been drawn more to it. I'm excited to see all the fiction you will get to this year.

Congrats on being so close to 2K. Dang, I would perish with only fiction but you got this!!!

Buddy. I read The Wanting Seed by Anthony Burgess. I feel like I can read anything now.

I suspect that you are referencing this to your recreational reading. You most likely will still be reading non-fiction as a requirement to fulfill your work and study obligations.
For the solo read along maybe Orwell’s “1984” could be on the list of possibilities. Many of us have read it many years ago in high school and a re-read from our more mature perspectives may inspire some lively comments.
