In this video, I give a full run-through of why I invest in a stocks & shares ISA and give a run-through of 3 example portfolios that I would happily invest in over the long term. I believe an investing portfolio can be as simple or as complicated as you want it to be.

Recently opened my SS ISA. Only two investment for me - VWRL and VHYL. I plan on drip feeding for the next 30 years with a 75/25 split, and reinvesting the divi’s from VWRL to VHYL because of the growth.

Great video. Thank you. On portfolio 2, I think there's a European ETF that includes Switzerland and the UK - possibly from Ishares.

Nice video and great co tent to understand the nitty gritty of managing multiple ETF's based on individual risk appetite.. Keep doing the great job 🎉

Really enjoyed this quite concise summary of the main options open to any ISA investor. I’ve made my own portfolio incredibly complicated (in part to try to beat the market, but also because there are so many options out there). I suspect that when all is said and done, i would be just as well off with a good global tracker and a couple of satellite positions…😊

Excellent video, packed with information (with the usual caveats of course). I'm retired now but would have valued such straightforward information in my 20s. I had to learn the old fashioned way but I can support your ideas wholeheartedly.

If I had a 20k lump sum now. I’d probably invest in a high paying dividend index fund that has potential to appreciate.
Maybe 4%. I’ll then use those dividends to invest in growth index fund like a global one whilst simultaneously contributing to both.

Any videos on bonds.. Seems low volatility and good return... 😮

The one risk you've appeared to completely miss when you referred to single fund portfolios you mentioned just the s&p 500, but you've omitted currency risk.

Unless hedged or derivatives used then if the dollar was to swing heavily against the pound, the companies could outperform massively yet you could still be underwater when converted back to pounds dependant on currency valuations at the time.

Do you have to put it on your TAX RETURN online form if you open an ISA and start investing in it? Cheeers LOL
