Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes (left) has dismissed questions about Natalie Rupnow's gender identity, claiming it is 'not important at all' to the investigation into Monday's shooting at Abundant Life Christian School. Speculation over whether Rupnow, who went by the name Samantha, is transgender has flooded social media since the shooter's identity was publicly confirmed. Barnes urged people to be more responsible with their online posts about the massacre, which left a teacher and another teen dead. Six others were wounded, including two students who were in critical condition. A motive for the shooting was not immediately known, nor was it clear if the victims were targeted (right, students being ushered to safety).
