I’m feeling stuck and unfulfilled working in the aerospace industry right now. Finally bought a house and still had this empty feeling. Realized in the process of working through house stuff that woodwork is not only interesting and fun but also something I could see myself expressing creativity through while still making money on my own terms. Fellow blonde woman here. Absolutely love your channel! I too was a waitress, and somehow ended up becoming a carpenter for years. Loved the job, working with the guys and materials. I had to move and now I'm back to a waitress 😂. After watching your videos, I'm thinking I should find a woodshop job!

Looking forward to following along. I'm in SoCal as well, but headed to Texas to build buy a ranch, build my forever home, start my 3rd career building outdoor industrial furniture and outdoor living spaces and starting a youth & young adult
school/ministry to teach them blue collar trades and craftsmanship.

Hi. olie, I’ve retired and I’m going to treat myself to a small bandsaw and a table saw, we already have a chop saw, and electric jigsaw and hand saws and chisels . I’m hoping to start making toys for my grandson, items for my garden and a few gifts, I used to do woodwork with my brother when I was very little, he turned out some beautiful furniture, and I’ve always loved the qualities and textures of wood . I would also love to do a bit of wood turning too . Yes I’m attending the you tube university as well haha, it’s great to see other people making incredible things . I wish you luck in your woodworking venture . Btw, my brother used to sand down his table tops in 800 too and he would do multiple layers, sanding in between layers, and the final result was like a mirror . Absolutely beautiful . Sadly he’s passed away but if I can learn a bit now I can pass our family talent to my grandson Bobby who has the same name as my late brother. . X
