This was the best demonstration I've seen on spooling a spinning reel. The fluorescent cord demonstration of tying a knot was extremely helpful. As a beginner I really appreciate this video.

LFG is killing it with the informational videos. I’ve been teaching my buddy to bass fish here in north Georgia and I made him come watch all of the googan lab videos so far. Keep it coming!!!

i like alberto knots for mono to braid, braid to fluro. monos only for the braid to dig into. Covering the spool is plenty I've learned throughout the years.

I have an electric line spooler that allows me to remove the spool and put the line on it with no twist at all. One thing that I have learned, especially on my small diameter spools, is when you cast...say 100', you can have up to 250-300 twists between the spool and the end of the line. When you lift the lure out of the water between casts, several twists come out. After a hand-full of casts that first 100' off the reel ends up twisted back onto the reel...especially after your first line break.

New subscriber. Love the way you use paracord for the knots. Even though I've been doing this for decades, it's nice to slow it down for older eyes. Good job mate!

Commented before I watched the last part. Great idea about laying out the line with a swivel. Should have figured it out. I usually lay line out on water while paddling away in my kayak. I feel this will save a bunch of time on the water. Thanks.

This was a big help! Thank you!! Suggestion. Show the knot at around the 3 min mark from different angles as I had to watch it a few times to get it. I see other people had difficulty too.
