Gotta have sympathies for those delivery drivers who can't deliver because of no drop off points. It'd do a lot of favours to fit more loading/unloading bays throughout the country and enforce them rather than expecting delivery drivers to walk a mile to drop off a delivery

The problem with the punishment being a fine is that it's only a crime for poor people. Rich people just see the fine as the cost of parking somewhere more convenient

just make massive car parks outside of tourist places, and just have public transport links directly to the centre

I used to spend half my time working in London and had no parking problems. I used trains, buses, Underground, a bike and my feet.

this is one of the many reasons why i have a motorbike. basically park where you want just dont block anything ... 1 big problem with owning a bike is the fact that it will be stolen so you have to carry around 3 - 5 locks lol.

We have to deal with people parking illegally in the delivery bay behind where I work.

I wish we had a tow company that would take them away GTOger style because of the problems they cause.

Down here in Southend we get really busy in the summer! Mainly because of adventure island + The arcades + The high street + The beach. It's a perfect tourist spot. Great for our local economy tho.

Most areas in London needs a car parking tower. 200-500 car parking space minimum. Touristy places, important govt and administration places etc. Make underground parking as well.

If these places have parking issues, then the councils need to do funding to ensure better parking facilities, such as multistorey car parks to be built. They can still charge and people will be happy to pay as long as there is space. Just if its a common problem year in year out.

Regardless of the right or wrong of the ticket, the “I can tell you where not to park, I cannot tell you where to park” line makes my blood boil just watching this!
