I barely get a seat, cup holder and have a glorified hamster running on a wheel for an engine in my 5th gen 4Runner but it outlives everything on the road with virtually no maintenance. I don’t need tech, I need solid well built, simple, rideable and durable. That’s what this bike brings.

To those whining about e-start, hydraulic clutch, etc. you can buy all of that for 4 grand more from KTM. Enjoy.

People complaining about 6th gear never actually need a 6th gear 💯

Was hoping to see Yamaha step up there off road xc game with electric start and, a six speed transmission...maybe someday!

I’ve owned nothing but 4 stroke, pds, ktm’s for the past 15yrs. That will be changing as soon as my local dealership gets a 23 yz250x.

Ultimate enduro? LOL. You are missing 6 speed transmission, e-start, larger capacity fuel tank, hydraulic clutch, lights, trip computer. Sorry but this is a modified MX bike. not a true enduro bike.

Yes but with the Yamaha at least you get to ride home

Well back in the day that’s all we had was an Mx bike, or a scrambler, which was not good for any thing. I still ride Mx bike setup for woods, suspension, gearing , muffler, bark busters. The 5 speed works fine, in any terrain, H.S. Or enduro. Most pros ride Mx bikes to cause they cost less, and any bike has to be setup in some way, to work for what like to ride.

Les hace falta el arranque electronico.y sistemas de luz, electro.ventilador para poder competir con las ktm, gasgas y otras

Don’t get me wrong I love Yamaha 2 strokes but for the price of a 2016- current yz250x it was cheaper for me to buy my 2010 ktm 300xc with all the bells and whistles compared to the Yamaha. Sad that an older ktm is still more advanced than a brand new Yamahas. There’s a reason the European bikes are winning all the enduro and cross country races.

Dont ever make elec start Yamaha.we love what you do.! If you cant start your damn bike maybe you are better suited for checkers or something. Prob the guy who pulls in with a motor home and pretty gear...and cant ride the damn motorcycle..Love shredding you ..."tools"

The owners book says 41:1 but is it fine to run 40:1 mix?

If your not going to add a 6 speed & electric starting at least put a semi-wide ratio 5 speed in place of the close ratio.
