Gulp and Ripto are easily the best bosses in the trilogy.
Gulp was challenging and focused, while Ripto's was pure satisfying fun.

Spyro 1 bosses are not bad, they are just not really bosses, more like regular levels with a unique feature in the end. Spyro 1 was an extremely chill and relaxing game, the regular bosses wouldn't really fit.

It makes sense now with Gnasty Gnorc. He just want to have quiet life without any insults. That’s why he didn’t bother encountering Spyro. It makes me feel bad when he was called ugly. That dragon got what he deserved. Though I can’t say the same for others unless they felt the same.

Yknow for some reason the scorch fight from Spyro 3 really stuck with me and for the longest time i didnt even know if it actually existed, but turns out it was just the 3rd Spyro game and not the second. I don't know why but seeing that boss fight really brings some childhood closure back lol

I remember beating ripto’s 1st phase for the 1st time back in the day. I got cocky and didn’t know about phase 2. I got destroyed. Then when I got through phase 2 I couldn’t take anymore hits. I didn’t expect a phase 3. I died on phase 3. The third time was a charm.

The new Ripto is voiced by Gregg Berger, who voiced Jecht in Final Fantasy, The Gromble in Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, and the original Hunter!
