Im probably in the minority when I'm saying this, but I really like the art direction for the dragons in this remaster. They actually look like an intelligent species with a defined culture and society, rather than simply being large lizards that sit around without doing much. Every dragon character has their own unique design here, with equipment and tools actually give you a good idea of what role they play in their society.

I'm halfway in the first game. I just wanted to say, that I find the animation, designs and voice work great. I especially love spyro's characterisation given in those cutscenes, who's an incredibly cute, funny, a bit overconfident (and sometimes a bit rude and unkind to critters like sheep, just for balance) little dragon with a great design, animation and simply perfect voice actor. The only flaw I found is that there's maybe sometimes imperfect lip sync. This is my first time with Spyro, having missed the original games and it's a blast so far.

I like how all those dragon's giving spyro advice right after being freed gives the impression that this isn't their first rodeo. Like stuff like this has happened before and is expected to happen again.

I just chuckled at the fact that Spyro in the game giving Hunter shit for crushing on the rabbit when a certain faun was wanting his "Dork".
