Dada Gunamuktananda: Yogi and Meditation Teacher
Bio: Dada Gunamuktananda has trained in meditation, yoga and natural health sciences in Australia, the Philippines and India. He has been a meditation teacher of Ananda Marga since 1995 and has taught and lectured on meditation in New Zealand, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East.

Title: Consciousness : The Final Frontier
Synopsis: The exploration of inner space, our own consciousness, is ultimately connected to our discovery of outer space. Just as the world becomes a smaller place with increase in communication and transport technology, so the universe becomes a smaller place with the increase in meditation technology!

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

“We think we are human beings having a spiritual experience but in reality we are spiritual beings having a human experience” — Swami Survapriyananda

You are the universe, experiencing itself . Nothing to fear

This man is exactly correct. Meditation a simple, direct, effective way of seeing for yourself that you are not your body, not your mind, not your brain, but consciousness. When you meditate, just sit doing nothing without effort, your mind and body will come to rest and you will find that you are the Watcher, the Witness, experiencing it all. It's easy with just a little practice.

To everyone who is experiencing a difficult situation:
To shoot an arrow you have to pull it backwards.
So when life drags you back with some troubles, it means it's going to launch into something better.
I wish physical, mental and spiritual healing for ALL.🙏🙏

Notice how calm his body is. no shifting around, he simply stands with his hands at his sides, no waving his hands around, just calm. interesting.

I love how he pauses at the end and we catch ourselves expecting something else to happen or waiting for him to continue.
That PAUSE is a pointer that nothing needs to happen, that we should drop our expectations. That you are already complete, you just need to be made aware.
No striving is necessary to become what you already are.

For those of you wondering why he keeps his arms so still and by his side most of the video, I believe my comment to someone else who noticed this may be able to shed some light..

It’s a result of having tamed your “monkey-mind.” Usually we unconsciously move about during speech as we are enthralled in whatever it is we are talking about; however through consistent meditation you become increasingly aware of subtleties that might often go unnoticed. His speech is about “consciousness” and it’s no secret that regular meditation can indeed lead to expanded consciousness and awareness which can explain his calm demeanor. It’s not by accident, I assure you of that, it’s a sign of having mastered the senses through constant presence and awareness. If you are in a constant flow state; aware of each and every compulsion you may experience in your daily life (such as flailing our arms around and pacing about meaninglessly) then you can simply choose not to allow them to have control over you, you can choose to keep your arms perfectly by your side as a testament to your self-discipline and as a way to suggest that it’s “what I have to say that is important and not how I look while saying it.”

I hope this was helpful! I’m terrible at explaining things simply.

once i started meditating, i discovered why statues of the budda have a gentle smile on their faces - blissful, loving, peaceful, connection to the universal consciousness.

I have no idea why, but when I meditated with him at the end of the video, I cried. I felt what he was showing me, and the consciousness I felt connected to was bright yellow and pink, lovely and abundant. I've been told to meditate in the past but never kept up with it. This was eye-opening for me. Thank you!

i spent most of the video trying to understand what he meant, sometimes getting it, sometimes not. then i meditated and felt something I haven't felt in a while. my consciousness expanded and I felt the same way I felt way back when I took LSD and towards the very end of my trip I felt my mind literally expand all around me and felt connected to everyone. I felt that same feeling, not as much, but still significant. that feeling of consciousness makes me happy, awake, feeling, and confident. my anxiety is non existent after that..

All I see is hate towards this video or sarcasm. Even if his theories are incorrect he's a hell of a lot better human being than half of these idiots claiming their own understanding of the world to be better and more correct. This man is only explaining that we are all connected in this physical and spiritual world, and we should treat others with respect because we are all in this together. You can say he's wrong but at least his morals and idea of the world Is in the right place, actually a PERFECT place. How all humans should act, I applaud Dada Gunamuktananda for helping me get through the day, I actually had a spiritual moment during his meditation and I could feel the love and warmth of my dead relatives who i miss and love so much, telling me it would be okay, truly amazing. THANKYOU!

Just wow. I got tears in my eyes just before he started to talk about meditation and than again, while meditating. How awesome those little feelings are. Just a glimpse of the infinite bliss.

I wish everyone a beautiful transformation :)

The gentleness of his words shows the peace within him.
As he put it, consciousness is the only reality we can experience but not with our senses.
