Calling all builders, programmers, players, and producers. What will the sixth section sound like in the orchestra of the future? We’re asking you to imagine and build a new type of virtual instrument for the orchestra of tomorrow.
We’re looking to hear new, exciting, unexpected directions in the sound of your instrument - with a wide range of expressions. We encourage you to be as creative as possible, and we’re really interested in hearing creations that invite expression and exploration, and that possess a wide range of emotion and ‘magic’.
We’ve prepared sample sets of 5 core instruments for you to use as a starting point—strings, woodwinds, mallets, pads, and vocals—but past that, please let your creativity loose, and break some rules.
