19 and I had never kissed anyone, not even held hands. I felt so much pressure. I was nerdy, unattractive (needed jaw surgery) but the issue was that my crush was always looking for the perfect beautiful girl, nowhere to be found. I was in despair because I thought we had so much in common, he was really nice, a bit immature but seemed to me that he was my soulmate. I finally had jaw surgery but was really sad that from the people I knew, no one ever asked me out before the surgery (most guys were really shallow). I had no facebook profile image, I never told anyone about it, lost contact with all my highschool classmates and lived far away from all of them I didn't want anyone from the past to ask me out just because of my physical change. One day, I started chatting with a friend from 8th grade. He called me everyday for a year, without seeing each other he revealed to me that back in school he used to be silly and annoying but he had always had a crush on me, and after talking everyday for a few months he had realized that he loved me, hoping that one day I would reciprocrate his feelings . I was scared and worried about it but I decided to give him a chance. We met, he is tall, handsome, caring, a firm soft spoken person, commited, passionate, playful, caring, a real gentleman. He had always found me attractive, he loved me without even seeing me. I fell in love with him, I realized that no one has ever made me so happy. And yeah, my first kiss was with him. We have been together for 7 years.

Update: We've just had our 5 month anniversary, and I'm learning new things about her every day. I'm not doing the best mentally at the moment, but I'm really grateful to have such a sweet and understanding person by my side. Oh and to anyone who's been wondering, no we're not in a straight relationship, do with that as you will :))

Update Update: still together :)) It's almost a year now since I confessed to her, and we just had our 8 month anniversary! The relationship has had its ups and downs, well mostly because of me, but we're going strong! If there's anything I can say is that she's honestly just my best friend, and I'm glad that she's such a rational and down to earth person that just makes me whole :)) We're a good team! ( I'm being cheesy I know )

Update update update: It's been a little over 2 years since I confessed my feelings to her and 9 months since we broke up. I know that's not what a lot of you wanted to hear, but it was a mutual decision and we're still very much great friends (we still basically talk on the daily). I don't regret being with her, even though we ultimately worked out better as just friends, and I still admire her and care a lot for her! It may not have worked out as a romantic relationship, but I still gained a great person and friend, and that I am very much grateful for :))

Well not to speak for all teens but my first kiss was pretty magical, like a thing you see in the movies lol. Was at a very pretty park round Christmas time, so there were lights everywhere, Sitting on a bench overlooking the pond that had one of those water spouts in the middle. It was later at night so no one was around we were having a little date and then boom it happened wasn’t so bad

It doesn't bother me at all. It's not like i have a romantic life...which also doesn't bother me.
Bottom line, don't feel pressured to do anything you don't feel comfortable or ready to do. There is nothing wrong in waiting for the right time or person, and no one knows what is the right time but yourself.

I think I'll always remember my first kiss. It happened just a few months ago, I was going through a bit of a rough time at home, my parents hardly let me out for some reason. A "friend" who has a crush on me came to visit me in front of my house, so I went to see him. It was supposed to be 5 mins but then he asked me if I wanted to go for a ride with him on his bike. I was afraid to do that since I hadn't asked for permission but then I told myself "screw it, let's go". So I hopped on and he brought me in a field. We could see the sunset from there and for the first time in a while I felt...free. I don't know how it happened but we ended up holding each other. A few words were said and...we kissed. Honestly, it was absolutely magical, the kind of kiss you would only see in movies. I'm smiling just thinking about it--

Aw I really liked the last girls response 😭 I’m 18 and I haven’t had my first kiss yet, and the only reason I’m “waiting” I guess is not necessarily because I think it’s a big deal or it’s supposed to be magical (I know it’s going to suck), but because I want it to be with someone I’m comfortable with and I know isn’t going to judge me.
