I decide to do another test for this 150 battery in a flat terrain with no rainy weather in order to eliminate the negative impacts on the range.
It'll be a round trip with 2 proportions: 1) most efficiency test and 2) stressed test (cruising over 130Kph).

Nearly 550 miles for a full battery...that's amazing! My 2015 Tesla Model S 85 will do a maximum of 220 miles in ideal summer conditions and 200 miles in winter so this is an impressive performance. That was very impressive and proving that this now compares 100% in range with an efficient ICE car. Your English is very good, making this video easy to follow for us Westerners.
It's a shame that the Chinese and Western Governments are headbutting instead of working together, so that we "all" could benefit no matter where there are breakthroughs that improve our lives.

That was very well edited, and you explained everything so well. The range of the Nio is very impressive. China's progress with electric cars, and facilitating their use has come so far. The roads in China have improved so much over the years too. The last time I was in Sichuan was probably back in 1996, so you can only imagine the improvements.

I love the idea of borrowing a higher spec battery. I would totally be fine with a small/modest 58kwh and then swapping it out for road trips.

I like Nomi's little hat to protect him from the sun , this video is amazing to watch how far western countries are behind China, I think swapping batteries is the preferable option rather than charging every time, it just makes much more sense to swap, very smart of NIO to allow older cars to take advantage of new technology as it comes out by simply swapping to a new version.

Now this makes the swappable battery on their cars look like an absolute genius move on Nio’s part.

Sounds great for the odd occasion such as a week or two on holiday where you might want more range and drive longer distances. Rent a bigger battery rather than a different car for that time then swap back to a regular battery size once you are back. So many use cases.

Interesting video. I'm in Canada and watching this I can say we're so behind China in Electric cars. I was impressed with the battery change procedure. That blew me away considering the weight of that battery. I love seeing the countryside in your country. Looking forward to more videos.

Germans will love it. Fast Autobahn driving empties your battery in no time. Therefor a 150kWh would be practical there.

Man I find it mind boggling that Nio managed such a battery breakthrough. Specially knowing that other companies with deep pockets and all the "know how" they can get still didnt come close to 1000 km, is just absolutly incredible

The 150kwh battery you got was at 93% charged so it would not have a range over 1000km. NIO would not overrate the battery. It would also be different between eco and performance mode. Remember that Li Bin was also test driving the car with 2 people in the car.

Great video, and an amazing insight into what NIO has built including the phone app functionality and voice recognition in the car. Great to remove stereotype of somehow Chinese cars being cheap knock offs.
