If some neighbor or unknown device is using your bandwidth, you have been compromised and is a much more dangerous problem. Blocking their Mac address is only going to prevent future usage but, first you should ask yourself how they got your passkey? Your SSID password.

If they have that, how did they get it? Security 101

There is a problem with this method... If another device connects to your network, it will not be blocked until you BLOCK it.

There is a better way. Hind the setting on your network to ONLT ALLOW wifi devices with MAC addresses you tell it to allow.

I believe its easier to put your own devices MAC address into an authorized list. Restricting someone elses MAC address seems an endless task.

How can some one steal my WiFi if it is protected with wpa2 security?

You can look in your router for connected devices and you can see the host names, I have been doing this with my Buffalo router in order to change the host name to something I recognise, however not all my host names and IP’s are being resolved, but all mac address are visible. Any ideas?

Love your channel, I'm a subscriber and I learn something new every time I watch one of your video. Do you have another video where it shows you how to identify what software or services that is running on my windows that is slowing down my internet? I have a situation where my upload speed is reduced dramatically on my windows PC that it is not happening anywhere else. I tried it on another device and that never happen. I don't know whether I may have a faulty NIC or the app itself. I did try to use a ethernet adapter on the same PC and the upload speed is fine. Unfortunately, the adaptor ended with a slower download speed than my NIC.

question about this since you made it. and i’m thinking it’s the same thing now, but since you made this video( which i like your videos just some of them are a big hard to follow cause of the differences in the items and how they where made which you do tell us) but this blocking can be dont in the apps of the wifi’s now right? or does it still need to go this way? i ask cause some times the app way doesnt seem as if it works every time.

I do run DDWRT on a subnet for streaming TV I don't use it much because it's so I see your running Tomato I might try that and see if it will give me better than 25 down on my gig connection?

It's odd, it isn't showing my Canon printer, for some reason.
But it is showing 2 IPs for the Technicolor router, one of them is for an internal NAS connection, from what I understand.
