NO ONE IS COMING TO HELP. And they don't want you to defend yourself in CA.

I used to walk my dog alone that park. USED TO!! I’ve visited many “developing countries” around the world. Sometimes I wonder if our society is collapsing before our very eyes.

Our taxes pay for those trails and parks. We need to start suing the city. This is ridiculous. If people want to do drugs and be homeless, that is a choice in most cases. Every county needs to have a designated area to accommodate people who give up on life. The rest of us are still trying and shouldn't be in health or safety dangers bc of others.

Thank you for reporting this. Please continue to press this issue with SJ city council.

My 65 year old mother was also recently attacked by a crazy homeless guy downtown san jose just getting off her bus. Punched repeatedly and thrown to the ground, while being growled and snarled at by the guy, all for some danish she had that he wanted. Took the cops 25 minutes to respond, just to santa clara st. Luckily good samaritans nearby witnessed and held the subject till they arrived. This city needs help fast, the good citizens cant continue to prop it up forever. I also spoke with officers when arrived and asked about nearby security cameras at the bus station, he told me "nothing downtown works man" NICE.

The mayor and city council is busy with imposing mandatory gun insurance while ignoring everyday dangers faced by citizens in the city.

Gotta ban those assault shovels.
Don't need that much non-slip end grip.

I lived right down the street and Ever since that camp came. Nothing but destruction in the neighborhood cars constantly being vandalized from these people. people being attacked and the freaks coming out at night to rob and take anything they can. It’s a complete dump. I’m glad I moved back home to Beautiful San Diego good luck y’all

I’d sue the city for knowing of the ongoing dangers of the homeless camp and allowing it to continue

I actually love this trail but also acknowledged you have use this trail with discretion, and In on a bike. My heart goes out to this lady. This park has so much potential. I hope these people get the mental health they need.

I no longer hold compassion for the homeless after living in the bay for a few years!

I wouldn’t have chosen to walk alone at that trail. It will take a tragedy before the government to act.

If you cannot walk in the same area that you use to 4 years ago, then there is something wrong! Very wrong.

The 'mayor's office' ? Good freaking luck. I've been emailing Liccardo about these bums for years. Never got a single response. It's well past time to run these bums out of town. Institutionalize the insane and get the addicts into rehab and failing that, into prison.

They will probably release that man today, to harm someone else soon.

Someone in another post mentioned that these homeless people with "mental health" issues and addictions will be thrown into FEMA camps and we will never see them again.

It's out of control. Mentally ill, evil and drug addicts are big population of homeless lurking in and around neighborhoods and walking jogging bike trails. Don't trust anyone and keep distance.

My city has gone to trash! Born and raised and finally had to sell to get out. 40 plus years and this is the worse of poverty/ homelessness I’ve seen.
