N9TTK Shack update 12/21/2022

End of the year shack update video. A lot has changed in the shack lately, I moved things around and added some new equipment. I moved the radios to the sides so I can reach the VFO without reaching over anything, that has been nice. I took down the RX verticals for the year, with my frustration on 160m and lack of time for the CQ160's coming up I thought I'd utilize the decent weather to remove them for the season. E & W BOG's are also down, the west was beneficial at times but not used enough to stay up. I am having decent success with the NE BOG, similar to last year, using a 9:1 and 470 ohms rather than 4:1 and 200 ohms. The NW BOG will hopefully put AK in my log this season.

You may see loose ground straps etc, I was getting some RF in the mic today so I started trying some different things, I think a bad connection at the 101d was the issue, time will tell.

I also want to add that I changed all jumpers to RG400 with this latest remodel. I'm not sure it did anything but will surely make it easier to tidy up the wiring mess under the desk. Once I'm satisfied with the layout I'll clean it up. The desk still goes up and down, I did use it standing in a couple of contests this year.
