Unveiling the Beauty Gap: Why Chinese Cities are so beautiful & Shine, While India Struggles?

In this thought-provoking video, we delve into the intriguing question of why Chinese cities and infrastructure are often hailed for their exceptional beauty and efficiency, while India faces challenges in achieving the same level of aesthetic allure.

Join us on an in-depth exploration as we analyze the factors that contribute to the stark contrast between Chinese urban landscapes and those found in India. Delving into historical, cultural, and economic aspects, we aim to shed light on the reasons behind this disparity.

We begin by unraveling China's remarkable urban development and visionary city planning. Witness the breathtaking skylines of Shanghai and the perfect harmony achieved between modern architectural wonders and the country's rich cultural heritage. From meticulously designed parks and public spaces to efficient transport systems, we uncover the elements that make Chinese cities so aesthetically pleasing and impressive.

In contrast, we navigate through various Indian cities and discuss the challenges they face in infrastructure development. From the overcrowded streets of Delhi to the insufficient waste management systems in some areas, we explore the hurdles that impede India's progress towards creating visually captivating urban spaces.

Throughout this video, we maintain an objective and analytical approach, focusing on the underlying factors driving the differences between China and India in terms of urban planning, governance, and economic considerations. Our aim is to foster a constructive dialogue surrounding urban development and potentially uncover strategies that could bridge the beauty gap that exists between these two countries.

*Please note that the purpose of this video is to encourage discussion and understanding, rather than perpetuate stereotypes or pass judgment. We value the diverse perspectives and experiences of both countries, and believe that productive dialogue can lead to positive change.

As we conclude our captivating investigation, we encourage viewers to share their thoughts, ideas, and opinions in the comments section below. Together, let us explore possibilities for a more beautiful and sustainable future in both Chinese and Indian cities.

In India land laws are very outdated. 20 yeats back Mukesh Ambani wanted to make an SEZ in the barren lands of coastal Raigadh district of Maharashtra, but he was so harassed by the land owners and local politicians that he gave up the idea.
Indian Bullet Train project is facing delays because of Land Acquisition disputes 😎

I think India should reflect on why it cannot achieve the unification of writing and language, while China did it more than 2000 years ago.

All infrastructure and city construction are related to money. The Chinese government is much richer than the Indian government. The Chinese government's fiscal revenue is 10 times that of India. However, India, which has a population of 14 and a GDP of more than 3 trillion US dollars, has a fiscal revenue similar to South Korea, which has a population of only 50 million and a GDP of only 1.9 trillion US dollars. Only when the government has money can it build more and better public facilities,

Absolutely right, Sumit Sir. Proper Planning and cleaniness is most important in development. That's why I think, more number of foreign tourist comes to China than India.

Every work required pre planning...
India is democracy

Mr. Sumeet the basic difference between Indian way of thinking as compared to the Chinese is that Indians firmly believe in the 3rd Law of Thermodynamics !! That is in the universe, chaos always increases . You clean up one area, and a corresponding area becomes chaotic!! So Indians will always make sure chaos exists. !! They will be personally clean but throw the garbage into the street to make sure a corresponding chaos exists!!!😂

👏👏👏 Wonderful round up, Sumeetji. As architects we have lots of restrictions on creative thinking in India. Our town planning course at the college level itself is old and outdated. There was a time when we had to teach IT professionals who were going abroad, how to use a western style toilet 😢
Things have improved but still a long way to Jai Hind 🙏

Wonderful analysis!
I am sorry to confess that I am very pessimistic about our systems to even think on these lines.
No one is going to follow this strategy till a specific laws are imposed to follow such guidelines!!

Democracy is only for educated people.
One more point is that why our education happens in english medium even though our children only understand only hindi. How can child can understand books in other language.
