I had a beautiful experience with a momma gorilla back in 1999. My son was a newborn at the time, and as I stood holding him in front of the gorilla enclosure, the gorilla closest to me sort of suddenly "runs away" from me. Then the most amazing thing happened!! She quickly returned with her baby. She came up to the glass and as I held my son, she held her baby. 2 momma's showing off our babies, so awesome!
A moment I'll cherish for the rest of my life!

I saw a big silverback at the National Zoo in DC hit the glass on his enclosure and it flexed out at least 6”. I thought he was coming through it. I’m 6’3” 285 lbs and he made me look like a 7 year old.
