Inspiration behind this video:

For starters, it's only been seven years since the play premiered on Broadway, which isn't that long for a record-breaking and Tony Award-winning play like The Cursed Child. It's not uncommon for popular plays to run for well over a decade. Thus, Rowling and company are unlikely to waver from their original stance of a Cursed Child movie potentially taking away from the play.

Furthermore, if a Cursed Child movie has any hopes of happening and being well-received by Potterheads, it will need to feature the return of Radcliffe, Watson, and Grint. At the current time, this seems unlikely. Radcliffe said he might return for a Cursed Child movie in the distant future, but it's not something he's interested in doing right now. Watson is just as unlikely to return, as she is currently taking a break from acting and is reportedly not interested in working with Rowling due to her transphobic rhetoric. While there are multiple roadblocks in front of a Harry Potter and the Cursed Child movie adaptation, it's definitely something that fans and Warner Bros. wants to see happen.

I hope they still get the original cast, I can't imagine any other people playing those characters, cuz if they do, that'll just make the film less interesting ( personally to me ) no one can be a better Harry Potter than Daniel Radcliffe .
