Just because you disagree with someone, it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy something they made. She is my favorite writer and always will be . Agreeing and disagreeing is part of life. We all can have different opinions. In fact, diversity of opinions what makes it colorful.

i mean, the woman wrote everything so it is just right she is part of it - she wont let people ruin the books

She has a right to her opinion too. Without her, there wouldn’t even be Harry Potter.

Why wouldn't fans want her to have a say in the production?
SHE created the story, and everyone loved it as it was. So why would that now become a problem? Disagree with her opinions all you want, you have that right (as she has a right to her own), but her work is still *her* work. and you liked it. as it was.

eh, Im kinda down. I'd be curious to see a more book accurate adaptation. I mean 8sih episodes per season, one season per book. That's 8 plus hours per book versus 2-2.5. I still love the movies. It isn't like they are deleting the movies. Making another version wont hurt anyone. If it flops, oh well. Not my money wasted, I can still watch the movies.

Lmao Harry Potter without her is basically a different IP. She made the entire world and characters. You can disagree with her but it doesn't mean you now have control of her original material.

Growing up with Daniel, Emma, and Rupert, it’s kind of hard to even think of someone else as these characters. Although it would be amazing to revisit Hogwarts and see what should have happened in the movies, I’m definitely hesitant, I would rather see an entirely different part of the Potterverse (especially something like the Marauders or Founders) than try to watch three different actors try to live up to the iconic trio.

I remember growing up with the cast and looking forward to the movies every year even though sometimes we had to wait two. But when it ended, there was a emptiness that connected to our childhood, that was kinda a rough pill to swallow. I think alot of us around that age group felt that when it ended.

Rowling is allowed her views on topics just like we all are allowed them. Many of us also have actual direct bosses that have opinions we do not agree with. That is part of being a human; living and working with people with different opinions to our own as well as those with similar opinions.

the castle design, tune and font are just parts of the world. You can't change something that's essential.

A TV series is a good way to tell the whole story. You simply cannot take 300 page book and make it into a 120 page script. The later books got upwards towards 900 pages. Things have to be cut out - unless every book is a trilogy. That has always been a problem for readers going to a movie. Having a season per book will give them much more time to try and tell most of the story. I hope they do a good job of it. 😎

I think it’s cool that it’s keeping the same music, castle and overall vibe.

I'm excited to see a new cast and a longer screen time to tell more of the books. I can get into Harry Potter without Daniel, Emma, or Rupert. But, I don't know that I would want to watch without JK being involved.

Its her creation she worked hard to build the world we have all fallen in love with and she should get paid for it. From there i think its up to each person if they want to watch it or not. If you dont want to watch it because you feel it will support her because of things shes said, then dont watch it. if you dont care and just love the world she created, then watch it easy as that.

How could you be mad that the creator is involved with her own creation? That’s just childish. In reality, the actors care more about Rowling’s comments than the fans They just want to maintain their image.

She literally made the whole wizarding world, of course she shouldn’t be booted off because of her views. She’s not even transphobic, she just wants to protect female rights and terms. Her tweets aren’t even that bad.

You keep saying that "fans" are put off by Rowling's "transphobic" comments (she said nothing of the sort, she merely stated the fact that women exist, but that aside), but clearly your views are not representative of the majority of fans or the majority of people, and you are merely talking for a loud minority. As you noted, Hogwarts Legacy was a billion dollar success, despite the "boycott" lol. Turns out that a few hundred people on twitter isn't enough to sink the Harry Potter franchise. I can't wait to see this series be a smash-hit as well, and hopefully you people will get the message that people don't care about your opinions on Rowling and that most intelligent people support her, as they should because she said nothing wrong.

Judging by the failed "boycott" of Hogwarts Legacy, I doubt that there is any problem with J.K. Rowling amongst real fans. The fans love Harry Potter - the story is timeless - and the writer of those stories will always be a part of them. Rowling is entitled to make a living from her own work. She is also allowed to have an opinion, just like the other side has opinions. No one should be silenced - and the fact that Emma and Daniel (who owe their entire careers to Rowling) refuse to participate because of Rowling's OPINION is pure immaturity. I'd love to see the series and even "Cursed Child" if they ever decide to do that as a movie. Oh, and I have Hogwarts Legacy - it's a tremendous game.

Most fans don't agree with the loud ones complaining about Rowling... shouldn't even act like that is the consensus. I'm looking forward to a reboot. There can be a deeper dive into the world and characters with a television series. Better not make it woke too.
