I do exactly what she does. You're excited with a conversation so you interrupt. Especially when you feel they're talking too slow and not getting to the point quick enough. You notice it in others right away but don't notice it with yourself right away.

The way she interrupts him is so relatable 😂 he’s quite patient too.
13:28 when she stopped talking and started to touch her hair is the moment I’m sure she was somewhere else 😂

She reminds me so much of me in my younger years. Fortunately, through meditation and years of working with therapist and coaches I’ve calmed down significantly. It was challenging to watch, I’ll be honest. I get it though…She is hyper focused on her own inner healing and this is why I believe she continually brings it back to herself.

Yes indeed, God Bless his patience because I couldn’t watch the video. I was yelling at the screen for her to let him talk.

I love that this is about ADD and she's ADD. Gives the perfect example.

I had to pause the video at 10 minutes to read the comments and validate my distaste for her constant interruptions. I have ADHD and staying focused on Dr. Amen was physically painful.

I like how he is talking to her. Like I talk to my ADHD son;))) Lovingly ignoring all the distractive nonsense and drama that she says and continuing my speech 😂

Dr. Amen, you’re describing my childhood. (Your wife’s childhood)
I have ADD.
Went to school to age 13.
I’m quite intelligent I have to admit and I can’t be modest right now. 🙈
Now I can study. I love to study but on my own.
I’m a therapist now, actually a coach. But I help people heal and empower them.
Without the broken home and without ADD, I would have gone to university.
Now I’m 56. I don’t want university.
Because I have created my own succes.
I am specialized in personality disorders and trauma.
It’s unbelievable how life can happen!

Crazy the amount of people slamming Tana for interrupting, yet they expect others to ‘accept’ them. Sometimes people with ADHD are the least accepting of others with the same condition. Interrupting is a symptom, have some compassion.

lol I'm glad I'm not the only one who was annoyed by how often she was cutting him off. my mom does the exact same thing whenever I talk to her and it drives me up the wall.

Wow- this knowledge should be made known among teachers, therapists, doctors.... in our country! I wish I knew when I was young (because of my own story!), but thanks God I know now- it feels like a rehabilitation!!! Thanks for your work! I wish I could fly to the US and get my and my son‘s brain scanned🙏

I have ADD, and this women needs to just stop talking. I'm trying to listen to what he's talking about. And shes being completely inappropriate and annoying.

I am really interested in the content of this video, but her interruptions and tangents make it almost impossible to get through this video 🙄 I would love a video with JUST THE DOCTOR.

I really appreciate these discussions as ADD runs in our family. You have touted the brain scan as an excellent way to style in the diagnosis. What I want to know is how are you getting these brain scans done there is nothing but resistance in the healthcare industry to paying for this

Everyone is talking about her interrupting but she is actively trying to listen and doing her best. It's not something she does intentionally

To cut off others while speaking is for sure ADD signature 😂

I love this episode. Because she proves what he is saying. ADD is a huge spectrum. Also, she demonstrates opportunities for ADD people. Yes, she was annoying… initially. But I loved the “proof is in the pudding” demonstration. Excellent!, ,
