In this comparison video, find out whether Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Cisco Webex has the best audio and video. I compare the audio and the video across all of these web conferencing providers and crown the best one at the end. Needless to say, it's definitely not what I expected.

I think you should test these products on low quality Internet connection. It will be interesting to see the results - how do they perform.

I appreciate the comparison and won't argue the result. Something that I appreciate about Zoom calls is that it's the smoothest when multiple persons are talking at the same time. I find that Teams and Webex give priority to the strongest bandwidth while I can hear the multiple voices with Zoom.

Kevin, for an ex-Microsoftie, your honesty and content is much appreciated.
Thank you!

Zoom has the best audio. Teams has the best video, but they are sacrificing frame rate for resolution. You can clearly see Teams running at a lower frame rate, but higher resolution. Zoom’s frame rate is smoother and more consistent, but the resolution is obviously lower. (And thank you for sharing this comparison!)

Wow! What a great new professional introduction. I work with Teams all day long and because of the interaction and collaboration with Microsoft apps it’s the best in my opinion. But I believe Zoom is really friendly simplicity. Webex does the job.

We did a big event in Zoom a couple of days ago, on a wifi connection with 300 participants Perfect, no lag, great sound, good video quality and so easy to understand for beginners!

I loved zoom couple of years back, before my company switched to teams... but zoom is still in my heart

Worth mentioning is that Zoom allows you to upgrade your license to Full Hd for both host and participants, upgrade to meeting for 1000 people on camera all with gallery views of up to 1000 people, pinning to second screen, virtual camera by default etc. So for performers Zoom is way ahead of Teams. Thanks for great videos!

For our international organization, the stability, features, and ease of use determine the platform we use. In this regard, Zoom Meetings and Zoom Webinar outrank WebEx. Teams is an application in a different category.

For an enterprise solution I still think Cisco Webex is better overall especially for all the different points. The security aspect. just jump to the 12:00 mark. Great job Kevin!

I haven't even heard of Webex before this video. Being bound to using Teams in my work (school), I think Teams performed decently here. The visual aspect is very important in my case, so I am happy to have Teams.

A great topic and well done video. Although I'd disagree as per the 2nd and 3rd place in the audio testing.
I'd rank them so:
1. Definitely ZOOM has the closest to natural sound
2. TEAMS sounds processed and not natural but still very clear
3. WEBEX has significant pitches which increase its loudness, but is very much like speaking through a tin box with sub echos.
Again that's my personal opinion and I might be totally wrong 🤷‍♀️

My tuppence: Audio is more important than video, Zoom audio was utterly outstanding. Overall I would say (1) Zoom, (2) Teams, (3) Webex. I thought Webex audio was terrible, had a processing 'warble' to it, very grating. Which one would I pick? Teams, everyday and twice on Sunday. Far, far more collaborative features such as instant chat, threaded posts, files, SharePoint integration, persistent meeting components e.g whiteboard etc, integrated approvals, apps and so on and so on... Teams is just on a different level.

I loved the way you picked the winner.

I would suggest a different category of comparison - ease of use.
Zoom skyrocketed in use since last March because it is so darn easy for a n00b to start using. It's also easy to share a meeting with the encoded URL.
So before you declare "THE BEST" please revisit this and add how easy it is to use in your consideration.

Of course as an instructor I’m not just basing my choice just on audio or video but on features. And for me Zoom is the hands down winner.

Hope someone didn't already mention this, but a test with a LOT of connections - like 300+ is needed to make a good judgement. At the company I worked for we had been using Skype, but large conference calls with over 250 people were unreliable without video and only one person presenting. We moved to Zoom and those large meetings became flawless. I'll admit we also used Teams, but I wasn't on any calls with more than 50 people although it certainly performed better than Skype.
I know Zoom is popular and probably not typically used with more than 20 people, but one would certainly want to know that before deciding on a product.
One other thing. I have no large meeting experience with WebEx, but have used it probably since it came out. These days it feels old in terms of its interface and its installation and interaction with the computer. Teams isn't as bad, but you know the Skype engine has to be underlying there. Not only was I impressed with Zoom at work, but now using it personally I find it smoother, and it feels fresher than the other two products. I have to say their public relations is pretty smart too allowing unlimited calls during the Holidays. Have to admit I'm a big fan of Zoom.
