My cousin is a Southern Baptist, and I learned this escape trick: when the uplifting song comes on, you start dancing to it, then you get so full of the Spirit you start dancing in the aisles, then you start dancing toward the door, then the Spirit makes you open the doors and start dancing down the stairs towards you car. When you get to your car, the Spirit goes back in the church, so you might as well take off and go to IHOP or something.

I went to a white church for my birthday once and it was the best present I had.
They sang 2 songs, made announcements, collected offerings, preached about 20 minutes, sang a last so song, a short ending prayer and I was on my way home.
