but dana said that machida was physically bothering him, while shogun just sat back and expected dana to just hand it over...im happy with the choice, machida did the best against jones anyways, out of the 4.

i finally decided to just google it rather than look at sherdog which is what that other guy told me to do for some reason. i saw fighter pay, but it only gives one portion of their pay check it doesnt include other things like sponsors and ppv bonus's.

I like Rua, but either he needs to work on his cardio or his age is finally catching up to him, even in the Dan Henderson fight he got gassed early, he just held on and got lucky Dan gassed too later on.

Rua does have more heart than any fighter I've ever seen, though, in the Jones fight he was taking a serious beating, but he was so determined to keep on fighting, he just kept trying despite exhaustion.

No that cut that Jones gave him over his eye from that elbow blurried his vision...and Lyoto said that he knew that it was the beginning of the end after that....I might have been that too though...LOL

Totally agree. Shogun actually looked really bad, but hey. Vera exceeded my expectations and actually had a very solid performance. I think Shogun's style is just really bad vs Jones and would get slaughters for a second time if they fought.

I don't think it's fair to say that Machida wanted the title more. Every MMA fighter wants the title! Shogun doesn't want it any less then Machida, but Machida just finished the fight better.

How does the UFC have a monopoly? there are alot of other fight organizations, the only difference is that they don't have Dana White running them.

I never once mentioned how much they get I just said you could find out. That was the first guy. I said it can be found out and all the hidden money they receive takes time, plus you have to pay managers and trainers for the whole time while you get a once a fight payment, believe me if you are starting out you need a job as well. I did and that was just my interest or bit of fun, by the time they get the big bucks its cost them a load of time and money just to be able to give up their job.

Sorry guys, but Shogun had a hard time with Vera and was gassed by the 3rd round, do you really think he has a chance at beating Jones?

Give it to the man who not only had the best performance, but also is the only person to win a round against Jones and put a dent into him.

If mma becomes like boxing I will stop watching. Almost ever single big boxing match is rigged one way or another, either a fighter takes a dive or the judges already know who won before the fight starts. Not saying it doesn't happen in the ufc as well, but it happens alot less often.

Are you serious "the UFC doesn't have a monopoly" the last organisation that was a big rival to the UFC was Pride and as soon as zuffa got the chance the dived on it, promising to keep it running and to have unification fights with the tittle holders to see who was really the best fighters. No sooner had they taken over than it was shut down and the fighters took in or cut except Fedor which is a whole different story
