I made one just like this but I attached a tether to the top screw underneath the cap made from mason rope with a little bit of fishing line so I can get it through to hold the camera if the tripod mount fails and a lanyard to put on my wrist great idea mate the most expensive part was the tripod mount I needed to buy but it's awesome cheers

I think it could be a bit better if it had some sort of flat end cap fir the PVC pipe the tripod mound might be a little bit more stable! what are your thoughts??

use hairspray. it will help to slide the handlebargrip in place and secure it.

Why don't you use pvc ciment to make shore the screw wouldn't fall? than you can use only the tripod mount... Nice video.

if you make the pvc pipe shorter and then pull the grip over the cap for a better look

Here are some suggestions if you are making your own mount.

1) I bought some very nice grips off amazon (Link Below) for almost dirt cheap. They have screws at each end to keep the grip from sliding off the pipe. The only bad part is they took almost 3 weeks to arrive.

2) I would not use conventional PVC pipe. Lowe's sells a grey piece of PVC that is about 1 foot long that is also threaded on both ends. This means you could make 2 grip mounts with 1 piece of PVC (You'll just have to buy an extra end cap). They also sell a threaded end cap that goes along with the PVC. With it being threaded, This eliminates the need for PVC Cement.

How do you adapt the tripod mount on a simple screw? It's not the the same thread? I don't understand...
